About Us
| | My mission is to teach you to dance as easily as possible so your dance experience is fun and empowering. I began my teaching career eight years ago, substitute teaching for my Tai Chi instructor. I have been teaching my own Tai Chi classes here in the Sacramento area for the last two years. About four years ago, I tried ballroom dancing and fell in love with it. I have been studying and practicing ballroom, latin and club dances ever since. I began my dance education in Sacramento and then took advanced dance technique and movement classes in San Rafael for two years. The San Rafael studio invited me to teach beginners and wedding couples and I found a new depth of understanding of dancing and appreciation for teaching with my students. The commute to the Bay Area finally wore me down, though, and I am now enjoying teaching dance in my home town of Fair Oaks. I love all the dances and my favorite social dance is Salsa. I enjoy working with beginners and have fun expressing my love of dancing through patient and supportive instruction. Dancing is not always easy, but it is often a very memorable and deeply touching experience. I feel I should warn new comers that dancing can be highly addictive...the healthiest addiction you are likely to find. | |
| The Studio Get Dancing Academy of Dance is located at 8928-B Sunset Avenue (at Hazel Ave) in Fair Oaks, California. They offer classes for children and adults, including a performance team for youths. The Academy has three separate rooms for instruction. The pride and joy of any dance studio are their floors, please help us keep them in good shape. WE DO NOT ALLOW BLACK SOLE SHOES ON ANY OF THE DANCE FLOORS!
